The 5% Club
What is The 5% Club?
The 5% Club is a dynamic movement of more than 1,200 UK employers committed to creating a workforce fit for the future. Members pledge to ensure at least 5% of their employees are in ‘earn and learn’ roles - such as apprenticeships, graduate programmes, or sponsored student placements - within five years.

As part of this national initiative, Boom Construction supports the development of the next generation of construction professionals through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
​
Founded in 2013, The 5% Club promotes social mobility, accessible learning, and youth employment across every UK industry sector.
Achieving Platinum Membership
In 2025, Boom Construction achieved Platinum Accredited Membership - the highest level of recognition in The 5% Club’s Employer Audit Scheme.
This status is awarded to only a select group of UK employers who:

Have consistently exceeded the 5% target in consecutive years, and
-
Now have 10% or more of their workforce in formalised training or development programmes.
